Customer Complaints

All Customer complaints within Kern Medical Center will be handled at the point of service whenever possible. For example, you may contact your nurse. If you are unable to resolve your concern, please contact the Manager of the department. If you are unable to reach the person you are attempting to contact, please leave a message with your name, phone number, and a brief message for that person to contact you. If you do not know the number for the department Manager, please call (661) 326-2000 and one of our operators will assist you.

The California Department of Health Services regional office receives complaints regarding care at (661) 336-0543.

Kern Medical Center is an accredited organization by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). You may direct questions or concerns regarding the quality of care, safety of care, or the hospital environment to the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations by Mail, Fax or Email.
